About
Hi guys, my name is Simon Rodrigues and I’m a 22 year old Portuguese living in South Africa. I was born in Brazil, but I left when I was 4 years old and spent most of my childhood in Portugal, I consider myself Portuguese in every way. I was home schooled my entire life, but when I was 14 I quit school and started traveling around. I never studied past 9th grade but I love reading, and there are certain things that I will never stop learning about and being interested in. Some of those things include computers, business, and finance.
I have a passion for computers, starting with computer games and blogging, and extending to things like programming and 3d graphic design. I know a bit of Visual Basic and C++, the best project I’ve ever completed was a computer arcade style game in C++. I also love playing around with 3d Studio Max, and I’m quite proud of my, still uncompleted, Obelix. I’m a computer game collector and some of my favorites include ‘Rome - Total War’, ‘Medieval2 - Total War’, and ‘Football Manager’. I was never a huge shooter fan.
My Entrepreneurial Side
I’ve always been good at making money, and although I don’t really enjoy phisicaly working for money, I do enjoy counting it and thinking up new and better ways of making it without exerting too much energy. When I set my mind to something, I do it (I’m a Capricorn so I don’t give up easily), and as a result I’ve read lots of books and educated myself quite a bit on topics such as Property investments, the stock market, finances, business management, personal development, and entrepreneuralism in general. Right now I am a senior partner for a thriving entertainment company in Durban, and I’m starting my own IT and graphic design business.
I started blogging about 5 months ago, and I feel as if I’ve come a long way, but at the same time I know I’ve only scratched the surface. There is still so much that I can learn when it comes to blogging and making money online, but I’m not going nowhere and I will get this thing done. From my 5 month experience I can tell you this, I love blogging and it has quickly become my favorite hobby. My goal is to get better and better.
Simon’s Money Notes
When I started this blog, I vaguely knew what I wanted it to be about, but I think it is still evolving somewhat. Initially, I wanted this blog to be a place where I could post new money making ideas that came into my head. I quickly realized that I’m not that creative after all, so I’ve kind of changed the theme to more of a business and finance blog. I’ll still post an idea if it pops into my head, but for the most part ‘Simon’s Money Notes’ will be about blogging, making money online, business, and finances, with a little personal touch thrown in.
My Goals for Simon’s Money Notes
I would like to see this blog become a referance point for new entrepreneurs and people that are new in the business world. I would like to not only post my own thoughts, but eventually to invite other experienced money makers and entrepreneurs to share their wisdom also.
