Make Money With Reviews
One of the best ways to make sure money online is to do paid reviews. If you have a blog, and some good content that is generating a decent amount of hits per day, than you’re half way there. If you’re wondering how it works, don’t worry, its generally pretty simple. I will try to explain as best I can, and I will give a few suggestions for some programs that you might want to try out.
Usually there is more than one way that you can make money with reviews, most programs give you the option to place a banner straight on your blog inviting people to buy a review from your blog at the price that you specify (of course the review program will take a cut). The top review programs also have a marketplace where advertisers pay a small amount to each blog or site that does a review for them, you won’t make as much but if you’re new to the ‘paid review’ world, this is an excellent opportunity to get off your feet.
What kind of money can be made? Well that all depends on you and your blog. The most important thing to remember is that once a review is done, its kind of hard to take it off the market, so be sure to make it good otherwise there will be less of a chance that advertisers will want to hire you. You can easily make good money with reviews, if you’re a blogging expert and you have a very nice and popular blog than you can charge quite a bit for your reviews, JakelDaily.com charges $130 for a review, and JohnChow.com charges $400, I’m still only charging $10. But if you’re starting out, chances are that your visitors won’t be lining up to buy a review from you, this is where the review marketplaces come in handy. You won’t get as much for these reviews, they can range from $1 to about $25, but its a great opportunity to get some exposure, if you do good reviews you might attract some advertisers.
You’re probably itching to get started, so I’ll send you on your way with the three programs that I use, or would like to use. I’m sure there are many more, and you are free to google for them at your leisure, but I’m quite happy with these three.
Review-Me - Review-Me.com is the most popular paid reviews program, all the top bloggers use it. Review-Me allows you to place a banner inviting advertisers to buy a review from you straight on your blog, and they also have a very nice marketplace where they inform you of any new add campaigns that you can accept. Unfortunately, they have a very high criteria for accepting blogs, so my lovely blog is still awaiting approval. I’m not exactly sure how their approval system works, but I guess it has something to do with inbound links, feed readers, age of the blog, and maybe average daily hits.
PayPerPost - PayPerPost.com is also quite popular. They also have a few restrictions, but I do qualify to have a banner placed on my blog with my review price. PayPerPost also has quite an extensive marketplace where you can browse around the different campaigns and chose the ones that suit you. Their approval criteria is not as strict as Review-Me, they did accept my blog, but I’m not allowed to use the marketplace. To be approved for the marketplace your blog must be at least 90 days old, so I’m about half way there.
Blogsvertise - Blogsvertise.com is the paid reviews program that I use the most. I like them because they are very simple to use. Once you submit your blog they check it out and then they approve or decline it. As far as I know, the only criteria is that your blog must be 60 days old, but they might still approve it if its younger than that on a probationary status, that basically means that you will be paid less for each review that you do. The way they work is like this, Advertisers buy a batch of, for instance, 100 reviews from them, then they send out those review requests to blogs on their database. Generally you get about 1 review offer per week. If you are on probation you won’t get very much per review, between $1 and $5, but otherwise you can get paid quite a bit for each review you do.
Ok, now there is not much to do except try them out. If you find, or know of any review programs that are nice and interesting, please tell me about them.
Simon
