There might be one or two of you out there wondering how to add a google sitemap to your blogspot blog. I wondered about it for a while, since google requires you to upload an xml file which you can’t do since blogger doesn’t allow you to add your own pages.
Then I found this post, I found it quite helpful. The post explains how to add a sitemap even if you’re using blogger as your platform. For those of you that don’t want to read a long post, here’s the general gist of it all.
You log in to your google webmaster account and you will be taken to your dashboard where you can see the sites or blogs that you have added. There will be a few options and one of them is to add a sitemap, click on that one. You will be taken to a screen where you will have to chose between two options, chose the one that says ‘Add General Web Sitemap’. Then you have to add the URL of your sitemap, but since blogger doesn’t let us add pages to our blog, we cannot add a sitemap URL. So instead you put the URL of the xml file for your atom feed, it will look something like this http://www.simsnotes.com/atom.xml. After that click on the ‘add web sitemap’ button and that’s it, you’ll get a message about google taking a few days to check things out but your part is over.
Hope this is helpful, it was to me.

I was looking around for interesting blogs that could give me some inspiration and I came across this one. I couldn’t pass the opportunity for a review exchange that he was offering.
Whoever this guy is (I couldn’t find a name), he blogs mainly about personal finance. The layout of his blog is simple and not too cluttered, which is always nice to see, and his posts don’t mess around, they are long when they need to be, and when its necessary they are short and get straight to the point.
Get down there and check it out for yourself.

So me and John Chow started this little competition, and that is to see who can have more feed readers by the end of the year. Just kidding, but seriously, I need more feed readers, the number I’m displaying is embarrasing. I’m trying to get a different widget that doesn’t display the number but feedburner is giving me a hard time.
So heres the deal. If you come onto my blog and you like it please subscribe to my feed, and in return I will do two things for you, I will subscribe to your feed, and every time I get 5 new subscribers I will make a post that will link to your blog with a mini-review. All you have to do is subscribe to my feed and then send me an e-mail with a link to your blog, and I will make the mini-review ASAP.
While you’re in the mood, please try to also vote for my blog and leave many comments, good or bad, for me to read also.
Thank you.
Simon
If you like this post…

I just love browsing around other blogs, its so much fun poking into a little piece of someone else’s world. Especially when you find someone with a world that is so much like your own. If it weren’t for the fact that I don’t know Jon from a stranger on the street, I’d say we were brothers.
Lets start with his blog, Gold Rushin’. Gold Rushin’ is a blog about finances, business and money, but in being true to the blogger spirit, he doesn’t let that allow him to forget his true self, and the fact that he is not a robot but a human who also likes things such as soccer, baseball, and his new bike. We should all take notes from Jon on how to truly connect with his readers.
But he is still a business man at heart, with an eye for making money and adding figures. Anyone looking to learn a thing or two about business or blogging or money should make a turn by this blog.
And his reviews are excellent, I’m glad I got one in before he realizes that 5 dollars is daylight robbery for a review of his, let alone free.
This one’s here to stay.

Rosli is a 41 year old marketing guru, and that is what his blog is about. MySimpleOnlineBusiness is a great resource for anyone looking to start a home based business. The blog is quite new (a week old to be exact), but I already found quite a few very helpful posts such as these:
http://www.mysimpleonlinebusiness.com/blog/general/relationship/business-relationship
http://www.mysimpleonlinebusiness.com/blog/blogging-tips/blogging
http://www.mysimpleonlinebusiness.com/blog/list-building/list-building
The layout is not that bad either, I can tell that he put some time into it. He’s put up a few ads such as adsense, but its not yet to overcrowded and thats always going to be a plus as far as I’m concerned. Apart from that its got quite a friendly atmosphere.
I can’t wait to see how this one unfolds. Look out for MySimpleOnlineBusiness.
