Uefa Champions League 2006-2007

I want to tell you about a game that I played not long ago. The games name is ‘Uefa Champions League 2006-2007′. It’s like FIFA 2007, but it has a few updates, like new teams, but there is also some things about the game that aren’t so good, like the game play. It’s not like FIFA, where, in my opinion, the players are moving faster, but the deficit is caused (maybe) because the view is wide screen. It has some good things as well, a better sound quality and more playing types.

One of the best playing types is The Treble. There you have to pick a team, have some training games, buy/sell players when the transfer window is opened, pick the best playing strategy that will fit all your players, and then try to accomplish the desires of the board of directors.

I have to say that I’m outraged by one thing. I’m from Romania and in one of EA`s football games, there wasn`t a romanian team for some years, but they put Steaua Bucharest. The players are not known even for me. There are players who never played for Steaua (I have suspicions that some of those players didn`t ever exist), and players from 1986 when Steaua won the UCL. I have to say that EA don`t care that much about Romania.

It can be played on all platforms (except Nintendo DS), and is accessible for everyone (or not) because it`s price is around $39.99.

So, if you want to feel the latest football (soccer) experience try out now!

The Infamous Paid-to Programs

For anyone that has tried to make any serious cash off of a program like this, I feel your pain. A few years back I wasted a chunk of my life trying to prove to my friends and family that it could be done (I’m still recovering in their eyes), I could, in fact, make some money from this. I was even so stupid to pay 10 dollars to one of them.

Don’t get me wrong, I truly believe that money can be made from these paid-to-read or click or whatever programs, I was just going about it the wrong way. I was totally blinded by greed that I didn’t realize what kind of programs I was signing up for. Recently, to the dismay of my family, I decided to give it another go, but this time I think I’ve got it figured out. And yes, I’ve finally been paid out once or twice.

The secret I discovered is no big deal, but I’ll share it with you anyway.

There are two types of paid-to programs, the scams, and the legitimate ones. The secret to this whole world is finding out what type you are getting in bed with. The good news is that its not as hard as one might think.

Back in the day when I was losing my precious time over all the scams, there was one simple truth that I didn’t understand, and that truth was that I had no idea how the system worked. Since then I’ve grown, and the way it works is simple. Lets say, for the sake of the illustration, that you sign up for a paid-to-surf program. What this means is that they will pay you for viewing the sites that they give you to view, usually you have to view them for an amount of time, such as 60 seconds (it varies). The theory is that companies pay them to display their site to the members, and you, as a member, get a cut, and everyone is happy. In theory this works pretty well, because say a company pays $1.50 to have their site displayed to 100 members, now the paid-to-surf program is offering you 1 cent per site that you view. So 1 cent multiplied by 100 members is 1 dollar. The paid-to-surf program makes 50 cents off the deal, you make 1 cent, and the company got some exposure, everyone is happy.

The problem that I had was that I wasn’t happy with the 1 cent, so I was chasing the scams. Its pretty easy to spot a scam, because they will not hesitate to offer 100 dollars per e-mail, or 50 dollars per click, etc. And they will pay you out at these grandious amounts of 10,000 dollars, which is not hard to get to.

My advice to anyone wanting to try their hand at this form of income is simple, if its too good to be true, its a lie, not ‘maybe its a lie’, it is a lie.

Here is a list of a few scam looking programs to give you an idea of what to watch out for:

http://www.numenmail.com/
http://www.huge-mails.com/

Here’s a few that I recomend:

AdBux
AGLOCO
Clixsense
Take the Internet Back
World Wide Cash

And remember, the simpler the better. Happy clicking.

DiscountClick (Review)

DiscountClick is a site offering online marketing services at budget prices. In this modern world, one of the most important thing for any webmaster to consider is his search engine rankings, especially when we’re talking about the major ones such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, AmericaOnline, Netscape, Ask.com, and Altavista. DiscountClick are offering to dedicate their time to helping you with that. And for 50 dollars a month, I’d go for it.

Some of the other products and services they are offering in the package include SEO consulting, link building services, pay per click management, content writing, and a suite of online SEO tools. I’m still learning so much about web marketing, but to me this seems like a great deal.

According to DiscountClick, you should be able to see results in 2-4 weeks, but if you want to get in the top ten search engine rankings for your keywords, it might take 2-4 months. Not only that, they will be there to make sure you stay at the top.

While you’re checking them out, don’t forget to check their affiliate program also. Who knows, you might even make some money.

Add a Google Sitemap

There might be one or two of you out there wondering how to add a google sitemap to your blogspot blog. I wondered about it for a while, since google requires you to upload an xml file which you can’t do since blogger doesn’t allow you to add your own pages.

Then I found this post, I found it quite helpful. The post explains how to add a sitemap even if you’re using blogger as your platform. For those of you that don’t want to read a long post, here’s the general gist of it all.

You log in to your google webmaster account and you will be taken to your dashboard where you can see the sites or blogs that you have added. There will be a few options and one of them is to add a sitemap, click on that one. You will be taken to a screen where you will have to chose between two options, chose the one that says ‘Add General Web Sitemap’. Then you have to add the URL of your sitemap, but since blogger doesn’t let us add pages to our blog, we cannot add a sitemap URL. So instead you put the URL of the xml file for your atom feed, it will look something like this http://www.simsnotes.com/atom.xml. After that click on the ‘add web sitemap’ button and that’s it, you’ll get a message about google taking a few days to check things out but your part is over.

Hope this is helpful, it was to me.

Endless Gibberish (Review)

I was looking around for interesting blogs that could give me some inspiration and I came across this one. I couldn’t pass the opportunity for a review exchange that he was offering.

Whoever this guy is (I couldn’t find a name), he blogs mainly about personal finance. The layout of his blog is simple and not too cluttered, which is always nice to see, and his posts don’t mess around, they are long when they need to be, and when its necessary they are short and get straight to the point.

Get down there and check it out for yourself.

Please Subscribe to my Feed

So me and John Chow started this little competition, and that is to see who can have more feed readers by the end of the year. Just kidding, but seriously, I need more feed readers, the number I’m displaying is embarrasing. I’m trying to get a different widget that doesn’t display the number but feedburner is giving me a hard time.

So heres the deal. If you come onto my blog and you like it please subscribe to my feed, and in return I will do two things for you, I will subscribe to your feed, and every time I get 5 new subscribers I will make a post that will link to your blog with a mini-review. All you have to do is subscribe to my feed and then send me an e-mail with a link to your blog, and I will make the mini-review ASAP.

While you’re in the mood, please try to also vote for my blog and leave many comments, good or bad, for me to read also.

Thank you.
Simon

Gold Rushin’ (Review)

I just love browsing around other blogs, its so much fun poking into a little piece of someone else’s world. Especially when you find someone with a world that is so much like your own. If it weren’t for the fact that I don’t know Jon from a stranger on the street, I’d say we were brothers.

Lets start with his blog, Gold Rushin’. Gold Rushin’ is a blog about finances, business and money, but in being true to the blogger spirit, he doesn’t let that allow him to forget his true self, and the fact that he is not a robot but a human who also likes things such as soccer, baseball, and his new bike. We should all take notes from Jon on how to truly connect with his readers.

But he is still a business man at heart, with an eye for making money and adding figures. Anyone looking to learn a thing or two about business or blogging or money should make a turn by this blog.

And his reviews are excellent, I’m glad I got one in before he realizes that 5 dollars is daylight robbery for a review of his, let alone free.

This one’s here to stay.

MySimpleOnlineBusiness.com (Review)

Rosli is a 41 year old marketing guru, and that is what his blog is about. MySimpleOnlineBusiness is a great resource for anyone looking to start a home based business. The blog is quite new (a week old to be exact), but I already found quite a few very helpful posts such as these:

http://www.mysimpleonlinebusiness.com/blog/general/relationship/business-relationship
http://www.mysimpleonlinebusiness.com/blog/blogging-tips/blogging
http://www.mysimpleonlinebusiness.com/blog/list-building/list-building

The layout is not that bad either, I can tell that he put some time into it. He’s put up a few ads such as adsense, but its not yet to overcrowded and thats always going to be a plus as far as I’m concerned. Apart from that its got quite a friendly atmosphere.

I can’t wait to see how this one unfolds. Look out for MySimpleOnlineBusiness.

Get Organized

One of the most important things to take into consideration when you’re on the path to money making success, is your own organizational skills. Being organized is a discipline that is not always easy to master, for some of us, like me, we never really understand how its done. But the outcome for neglecting this simple fact can vary from mild annoyance to complete disaster, usually it tends to complete disaster.

If you that you are one of those people that never know what time it is, never know how much money you have (or don’t have), and you’re always running to your mom for clean underwear, here’s a few pointers that you should pin up on your bathroom mirror.

Buy a watch.
Make it a point to exercise and shower every day, you’ll be amazed at what this can do for you. Even a half hour walk in the morning will do wonders.
Make a schedule for you days, weeks, month, and your life in general.
Try your best to follow that schedule.
Make a budget. If you don’t know how, don’t worry, do a google search. Its not that hard.
Don’t impulse buy. If you’re an impulse buyer by nature, make it a goal never to buy anything until you have slept on it for one night at least.
Sit down and write some goals for your life.
Organize your goals and try to develop a strategy for attaining them.
Sleep for at least 8-9 hours a day. If you don’t want to do it at night, do it during the day.

If you start following even some of these guidelines you’ll notice a difference. And whether you’re making money online or on the streets won’t matter anymore, because you’ll find it much easier to cope with the needed responsibilities.

Blogsire (Review)

ReviewBack.com – Blog Review

What can I say. When I saw this blog, I thought it was great. The layout has got to be one of the best I’ve seen on the web, and the author seems to be very much like myself, practical, down to earth, and straight to the point.

Blogsire is primarily about making money, but Peter doesn’t let that hamper his style, when he feels money becomes monotonous, he will blog on humour, blogging, South Australia, and He’ll even include a few tutorials or reviews. So you’re never starved for wholesome content at Blogsire.

Go check it out.
